A 50-year-old ski tourer was injured after being caught in an avalanche in Sunndal in Norway. The man was a part of a group of six. Two others were also caught but unharmed.

Norwegian rescue dogs, the Red Cross and Norwegian Folkehjelp took part in the search and rescue operation.Police asks everyone in the area to be careful.

Avalanches happen often in Norway. Luckily they are usually not as devastating as is the European alps. However, 3-5 people die every year.
